Colors by Llarowe - Colorado on my Mind Collection swatches, review

Sunday, April 12, 2015

I have some fun and cheery Spring jellies and crellies to share with you. These are from the Colors by llarowe Colorado On My Mind Collection and will launch on April 15, 2015.

These applied well and dried to a high-gloss shine. Jellies do require more coats than usual. But they have such a depth that they are worth it. And just think of the jelly sandwiches and pond manicures that you can do with these. I am sure I will create some nail art with these babies soon. So stay tuned!

Let's take a look. I didn't use a top coat with any of these and the shine is incredible. I didn't get even a hint of staining either.

Mile High Manicure is a medium blue crelly. This bright blue is going to be perfect to wear on it's own or as a base for some summer inspired nail art. This is three thin coats. I had no issues with application.

Wildflower Fields is a bright, almost neon blurple jelly. The color on this one is amazing. It's such a deep and vibrant color. This is three coats. I had no issues with application.

Garden of the Gods is described as a muted rosy pinkish purple jelly. If it is muted, I would love to see the unmuted version. This magenta shade packs a punch! This is four coats. I had no issues with application.

Broncos Baby! is a deep, yet bright and vibrant, royal navy blue jelly. The depth of this shade is mesmerizing. This is three coats. I had no issues with application.

Pike's Pink is described as a neon orchid. This strong, vibrant pink is sure to be an eye-catcher. This is four coats. I had no issues with application.

Where the Columbines Grow is a deep wine shade of jelly polish. I think this is my favorite of the collection. You can see the pink pigment peeking out around the edges. It makes it very dynamic. This is three coats. I had no issues with application.

Rocky Mountain High is a turquoise teal shade. This is probably the sheerest of the collection and I can't wait to use it in nail art. But the color... it's definitely the color of the skies in the Rocky Mountain region. This is four coats. I had no issues with application.

Girly Bits 'I Like Big Buns' for May A Box, Indied

Today, I have a polish for the May A Box, Indied subscription box - this one is I Like Big Buns from Girly BitsThe theme for the May box is "May the Fourth Be With You." And where do you think she got the name for this polish? You guessed it... Princess Leia.

Let's take a look at this sensational brown shimmery polish.

I Like Big Buns is a warm chocolate brown. It is packed full of brown and wine shimmer and has violet and blue sparks. I had no issues with application. I used three thin coats of polish and a top coat. There are lots of pictures below. I tried to narrow it down, but each photo seems to show a different characteristic of the polish.

What's your dream? is... well this IS a dream. This is a magenta purple intense holographic polish. The holographic prisms are pronounced and are even gorgeous in indoor lighting. This is two coats with a top coat. I had no issue with application. It could easily be a one coater. I used two though - just to cover my ridges.
