Sally Hansen Salon Effects polish strips - review

Friday, June 15, 2012

I received some Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips to share with you.

I had never tried polish strips before and didn't know exactly how they would apply. I can definitely see how these would fit the bill if you wanted a manicure change and didn't have time to let your nails dry.

These revolutionary peel-and-apply nail polish strips are available in eight limited edition patterns inspired by Rock of Ages, a rock 'n' roll romance story told the the hits of the 80s legendary bands. Just peel, apply, file and go!

I have three to share with you - Sticks and Stones, Amp it Up and Fingerlace Gloves.

Each package comes with 16 polish strips, a mini file and a cuticle stick.

To apply simply pick the strip that will fit your nail the best. Remove the clear protective cover, and carefully peel the strip off the backing. Holding the strip in the middle carefully start at your cuticle and press. Then lightly stretch the strip and apply over the rest of the nail. Use the flat end of the cuticle strip to press down all the edges and file off the excess at the tip of the nail. I used my fingers to smooth the polish strip. It took me a couple of tries the first time but then it was quite easy.

I have some pronounced ridges on my nails and these seemed to show the ridges more than I would have liked.

When you want to remove the strips just use polish remover as you normally would.

Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips are $9.99 and can be purchased at most drugstores, grocery stores and anywhere Sally Hansen polishes can be purchased.

Bottom Line. Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips are relatively simple to apply and will create a quick eye catching manicure. Sally Hansen consistently makes polishes and products that apply easily and look great.

The products in this post was sent to me for review.  I was not paid for my review of this product and all opinions are my own.
