Windestine 'Girl With The Best Smile' swatches and review

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

I recently received some polishes from Windestine to share with you. Windestine is an amazing indie maker who has some phenomenal polishes. The one I am going to share with you today is the Girl With The Best Smile.

Girl With the Best Smile was inspired by one of the maker's favorite songs. It consists of micro-fine light green glitter, fine pink glitter and small lavender glitter. It's perfect for spring and summer and the fact that it's a glitter topcoat makes it even more versatile

The formula was great. The glitter applied evenly and laid flat against the nail.

Let's move on to the swatches. Again, this is three coats with no top coat.

Windestine Rainy Day Blues - swatches and review

Wednesday, June 12, 2013

I recently received some polishes from Windestine to share with you. Windestine is an amazing indie maker who has some phenomenal polishes. The one I am going to share with you today is Rainy Day Blues.

Rainy Day Blues is part of the Spring 2013 Collection. It has turquoise hex and bar glitter, plus micro- holographic glitter in a muted turquoise colored jellyish base. Having the blues on a rainy day doesn't seem so bad when you are wearing this polish. It truly does remind me of the colors and mood of a rainy day. I am normally not a huge bar glitter person. But the bar glitters in this polish are tiny and, if you ask me, make the polish.

The formula was great. The glitter applied evenly and laid flat against the nail.

Let's move on to the swatches. Again, this is three coats with no top coat.

Windestine Androgynous - review and swatches

Sunday, June 9, 2013

I recently received some polishes from Windestine to share with you. Windestine is an amazing indie maker who has some phenomenal polishes. The one I am going to share with you today is Androgynous.

Androgynous consists of various turquoise glitter shapes/sizes and tiny iridescent rainbow glitter suspended in a dark rosy-mauve base.

The muted base is a perfect canvas for the sparkly turquoise glitters. The tiny rainbow glitter is definitely what makes this polish stand out. It adds depth and dimension to the overall look. The formula was great. I did have to fish a little for the larger glitter pieces but not too much. This polish dried quickly and applied evenly.

This one's a jelly polish, so I used three coats for complete coverage.

Let's move on to the swatches. Again, this is three coats with no top coat.
