Shimmer polish - swatches and review

Monday, April 15, 2013

I have two glittery bombshells for you today. Shimmer Polish sent me some of her amazing polishes with to share with you. Today I have Julia and Lucie.

Shimmer Polishes are named after her the polish maker's friends and family. Each and every name has an important significance to her and is inspired by that person.

Lucie - is multi sized and shaped red and silver glitter. The application is wonderful. It goes on smooth and even. It is perfect for jazzing up any mani. Here I have one coat on over Sation Peppermint Pedi.

Julie - is multi size, shape, and color glitter. The colors of the rainbow come alive in this bottle of glorious glitter. This is one coat over Butter London Scoundrel.

Shimmer polish - Part 2

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

I received some new to me Indie Polishes to share with you - Shimmer Polish. These polishes will be divided into several posts.

In the Shimmer Polish Part 1 post I shared four glitter-infused polishes.

I am sharing two more of these amazing polishes with you today - Trisha and Jasmine. These polishes are jam-packed with glitter and dry relatively quickly. They aren't too thirsty for top coat. The glitter applied evenly and I didn't have to fish for glitter. These polishes could easily be used on their own for a glittery, glitzy manicure. For these swatches I applied them over base colors and used a top coat.

Jasmine - is a aquamarine blue and green glitter polish. I love the way the colors complement each other in this glitter infused top coat. This is one coat over Color Club Wild Cactus. I think this is my favorite Shimmer Polish so far.

Trisha - is a deep red and orange glitter top coat. This is one coat over Color Club Flamingo. The ring finger has two coats of Trisha.

These glitter polishes apply fabulously and I can't wait to share the rest of the line with you. You can purchase Shimmer Polishes on ShimmyShimmer.com for $12. Or you can purchase from her Etsy site. Make sure to follow her Facebook page to get updates on new releases and product information.

Shimmer Polish - Swatches Part One

Tuesday, March 5, 2013

I received some new to me Indie Polishes to share with you - Shimmer Polish. These polishes will be divided into several posts.

For the first post I am sharing four of these glitter-infused polishes. These polishes are jam-packed with glitter and dry relatively quickly. They aren't too thirsty for top coat. The glitter applied evenly and I didn't have to fish for glitter. These polishes could easily be used on their own for a glitter, shiny manicure. For these swatches I applied them over base colors and used a top coat.

Kelly - is a green and gold glitter polish. (I am kind of fond of this one and I promise it has nothing to do with the fact that it is my name.) I have swatched it over China Glaze Keep Calm Paint On. I have one coat of Shimmer except for the ring finger, which has two coats.

Maria - is varying shades of blue and multiple shapes and sizes of glitter. I have swatched it over Zoya Jacqueline. It has a gorgeous shine and a lot of dimension. I have one coat of Shimmer except for the ring finger, which has two coats.

Mary - is red, silver and black glitter. I think this one is my favorite so far. Lots of shimmer and shine without being an over-the-top-glitter. Here I have it swatched over Ciate Cabaret.

Nichole - is red, silver and blue glitter. I have swatched it over China Glaze Fade Into Hue. I have one coat of Shimmer except for the ring finger, which has two coats. These colors look amazing together and I love the almost nautical look to the colors.
