Pahlish February Duo - You Give Love! swatches

Tuesday, February 10, 2015

Pahlish has created another duo and I am excited to share it with you. Angel's Smile and Shot Through the Heart are so complementary to each other. This duo,"You Give Love!" for February is subtle and classy.

These polishes applied wonderfully. There were no application issues and the abundance and variety of flakies in "Shot Through the Heart" are spot on.

Let's take a look at the February duo "You Give Love!"

Angel's Smile is a subtle, yet rich, eggshell nude with a mix of ultrafine copper and gold metallic flakes. The copper and gold metallic flakes keep it from being just another nude polish. The eggshell shade actually looks good with my skintone. Most nudes don't work on me. This is two coats with a top coat.

Shot Through the Heart is a soft holographic topcoat with a mix of copper, gold, taupe, and metallic multichrome flakes. It applied wonderfully and the flakes are not too shy to come out and play. This is one coat of Shot Through the Heart over Angel's Smile. I had no application issues.

Of course I had to try Shot Through the Heart by itself. This is four coats. I love the rosy shimmer.

Pahlish: Fields of Gold - A Boxed, Indied Exclusive swatches

Monday, February 9, 2015

I'm thrilled to be able to share a March A Box, Indied exclusive with you today. It's Fields of Gold, by Pahlish.

The theme for the March box is "Lucky Charms." And what could be luckier than Fields of Gold. Don't we all wish we could find one? This polish is a burnished gold with tiny holographic bits. These little bits add so much to this polish. The gold flakies are mesmerizing and the subtle holo sheen is magical.

Let's take a look at Fields of Gold. This is three coats with a top coat. Two coats would suffice though. Although you could just use it as a topcoat if you want. I had no issues with application and the flakes were oh-so-easy to work with.

I love this polish. Just calling it "gold" isn't enough. The color shifts from bronze to gold and the holographic shimmer is just phenomenal.

The theme for March's box is Lucky Charms and in addition to Magically Delicious from Colors by Llarowe, it will include offerings from Girly Bits (Check out Pointless Cafe's review ), Colors by Llarowe (see my review here), Contrary Polish and Glisten & Glow.

A Box, Indied retails for $50 and will be available at Noon and 7 p.m. MST, February 26, 2015 at Llarowe.com.

Pahlish Bespoke Lambrusco, La Belle Endormie swatches

Tuesday, September 16, 2014

I recently purchased some Pahlish brand polishes for the first time. I am definitely not disappointed. These are amazing!

Last week, I had the opportunity to meet Shannon, the wonderful lady behind Pahlish. She is just as vibrant as her polishes. I think her polishes fit her personality - beautiful, with a little bit of sass added for good measure.

Let's take a look at the swatches. The polishes applied wonderfully. The finish is smooth and the colors are rich.

Bespoke Lambrusco is a deep holographic berry shade. It has a violet shimmer and teeny tiny red metallic flakes. It is gorgeous. I tend to gravitate to blue polish and deep wine shades. So this color is totally me. This is two coats with a top coat of  HK Girl.

La Bella Endormie is a vibrant red-toned purple jelly packed with bright gold metallic shimmer. This color is rich and mesmerizing. The shimmer comes from within the polish layer and adds depth and dimension.

"La Belle Endormie" or "Sleeping Beauty" is one of the nicknames given to the French city of Bordeaux, the wine capital of the world, because its beautiful city center was once covered in black soot from the industrial revolution.

Pahlish and Elevation Polish April 2014 Duo swatches

Monday, March 31, 2014

Yesterday, I had the amazing opportunity to be able to meet the wonderful lady behind the scenes at Elevation Polish. It was great to sit for a couple of hours and talk about the world of polish. Her eyes lit up as she spoke about her love of polish making. She truly loves it, and it shows.

She left me with a parting gift.. The new duo that Elevation Polish and Pahlish created - The Budding Bromance Duo. I am excited to be able to share it with you.

The formula of each polish is silky and applies with ease. Let's take a look.

Romance is a light and airy gray with copper microshimmer and blue and green shimmer. This dove gray polish made by Pahlish is classy, chic and completely stunning. I used three coats for these swatches. Two coats would suffice, but the camera usually requires an extra coat. It was difficult to capture the shimmer in photos.

Bromance is a clear topper with winter white squares and hex, sparse matte grey glitter, scattered red-green shifting flakies, in a soft holographic shimmered base. It applies like butter and the glitter evenly coats your nail. The combination of these polishes is completely gorgeous. It's a subtle and classy look.
