I have a different type of post for you today. I want to talk about recycling something that most everyone just throws away and using it for nail art.
I have used these for a while now and I wouldn't be without one for my polish table. What is this item, you ask?
It's simply the lids from those plastic butter, sour cream, etc., tubs. They make amazing palettes for acrylic paint or polish. They can be used over and over as the polish or paint just peels right off. I used to use paper; but these make a huge difference. Need to thin your paint? Add water and don't worry about it leaking through or making a mess.
They are also fantastic to use for making those DIY nail decals like the butterflies I made in this post.
Before the lids, I used ziplock bags, but the slightest wrinkle in the bag can affect the outcome of the decal.
If you haven't used these, what are you waiting for?
What's your common household item you use for nail art? I would love to hear your ideas and tips.
