Feelin' Froggy! nail art

Saturday, July 21, 2012

A dear friend has been under the weather recently. She love frogs. Since there are many miles between us and I couldn't deliver cupcakes to her I decided to do nail art just for her. So Tina I hope you are up and "hopping" around real soon! I couldn't decide on a shade of green but Cult Nails "Feelin' Froggy" was perfect!

I started with a base color of Orly Jealous Much?

Then I added a rounded tip with Cult Nails "Feelin' Froggy"

Using a dotting tool I added dots of Feelin' Froggy on top of the rounded tip.

Then using a dotting tool and a brush I added the black for the eyes and the stripe of black for the mouth.

After that I added a small dot of white in the center of the eyes.

I topped it off with a coat of Seche Vite top coat. I probably should have waited a few more minutes though because I smeared the eye on the frog on my ring finger. I really like how it came out though. I just wish I had used some swirls of color on the top half of the nail.

Cult Nails Fairy Tale collection swatches

Saturday, June 16, 2012

Once upon a time I ordered a magical set of polishes.

I am excited to show you the new Cult Nails Fairy Tale collection. The application was easy and smooth. The formula is silky smooth and some of them look as though they were sprinkled with fairy dust.

These polishes can be purchased at for $10 each.

Let's move on to the swatches!

Charming is a delightful shade of light purple that will make you feel like the belle of the ball.

Evil Queen
Evil queen is a bright shade of red. You might even call it a candy apple red.

Feeling Froggy
Feeling Froggy is a riveting (or should I say "ribbeting") shade of green with magical shimmer and shine.

Happy Ending
Happy Ending is a wonderful top coat of multi size and shape foil glitters. I have it on over Charming.

Princess is a light powdery shade of blue with a sprinkling of shimmer throughout. Fairy dust anyone?

Cult Nails - Iconic lives up to its name

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

I tried my first Cult Nails polish today. I think I am part of the cult now. It is positively gorgeous. It reminds me of a raspberry filled chocolate candy. You think it looks wonderful and then you take that first bite and are in heaven.

Cult Nails Iconic
This polish is like that. I loved the color in the bottle. Then after applying it I realized how truly mesmerizing it really is. The flakes in this burgundy shimmery polish are like the raspberry filling in the chocolate. Not overwhelming but the polish definitely would not be as delicious without it.

Application was amazing. The formula is wonderful and dry time was quick.

I have a couple of other Cult Nails polishes here. I can't wait to try the other "flavors."

Cult Nails is available at and costs $10. But if you keep your eyes open you can catch a sale.
