A England new releases, Renaissance and Hurt No Living Thing swatches, review

Monday, May 5, 2014

A England - the name even sounds royal. I have several of this brand and I love it. Today I have two new releases to share with you.

On each bottle of A England polish you will see the phrase "Crown your hands and feet." And that is truly what this amazing polish does. It applies wonderfully and the colors are royal and rich.

Let's get straight to what you want to see - the swatches.

Renaissance is a majestic platinum silver. This could be a one coater if you applied it carefully. I used two for this swatch. It is a true silver polish with a platinum finish. This polish is perfect on its own, or will be a great polish to use in nail art.

Hurt No Living Thing is a subtle shifting polish. It has shimmers of gray and dusty mauve. This is a part of the Heavenly Quotes collection. It is sheer, but will transform any mani from plain to pow. I will show it to you first by itself. I used four coats for this swatch.

Now, let's look at it layered over different polishes. Here it is over Milani Black. I want to show you what it looks like over a dark cream. It transforms into a deep, shimmery berry shade.

Now let's look at it over A England Order of the Garter, which is a bold shimmery navy blue. Hurt No Living Thing instantly added a purple and pink shimmer. It's stunning.

Now look what it does over Renaissance. It softened that platinum into a shimmery, rose-tinted antiqued silver.

A England - Rose Bower and Briar Rose swatches

Monday, July 22, 2013

A England - The Burne Jones Dream Collection - inspired by art. Sir Edward Burne-Jones complete his Briar Rose series in 1890. There were four large paintings illustrating the story of Sleeping Beauty.

Let me tell you these polishes are no sleepers. They are truly works of art.

The formula is amazing. The polishes slide on your nail wonderfully and dry to a phenomenal, glossy sheen.

Briar Rose - is a muted scarlet/rose shade. It has lots of holo shimmer to it without being an in your face holo. It is simplicity and class defined. This is two coats.

Rose Bower - is a brighter shade of red. It isn't a loud red, but it is the perfect blooming rose shade. Again, holo shimmer glistens through the polish and gives it the appearance of early morning dew. This is two coats.

A England - The Legends Collection swatches

Sunday, July 1, 2012

I have four wonderful polishes to share with you today. A England "The Legends" Collection has seven polishes and a base and top coat.

I have Dragon, St. George, Order of the Garter and Bridal Veil and decided since tomorrow is A England day on one of my favorite polish store's Facebook page I would share them with you. Llarowe is having a polish of the day on her page. So make sure you check out her page to see some fabulous polishes.

Now let's move on to the swatches. I love A England. They apply flawlessly and I think you could actually get away with only one coat for most of them. But the swatches below all have two coats. It was difficult to try and capture the true effect of the polishes. All of the polishes have a wonderful holographic effect that is mesmerizing.

Bridal Veil - A deep black polish with a holographic effect.

Dragon - a muted green. It really does make me think of a dragon. Quite stunning.

Order of the Garter - A vibrant, rich, bright blue shade. It is one of my favorite blues. And I have a lot of blue polishes.

St. George - This is one of my all-time favorites. A deep, stunning green with tons of holographic sheen and shine.

Bottom line: A Englands are wonderful polishes that anyone should add to their collection.

A England Dragon - OMG Must. Get. More.

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

I tried A England for the first time ever. The color I used was Dragon. I am in love with it! The color is gorgeous. The application is super wonderful and smooth. The coverage is phenomenal.

The polish has a thickness that is perfect. I literally could have used only one coat. The opacity is that perfect.

The color is a rich color of green with microscopic glimmers of blue and gold. The camera could not capture the amazing color.

Now I have to go shopping for more. I bought this bottle from llarowe.com.
