Colors by Llarowe Limited Edition Ode to Bruno collection swatches, review

Thursday, February 5, 2015

Colors by Llarowe is releasing another amazing collection. This one is Ode to Bruno. Yep, Bruno Mars. I can't listen to his music without either getting up and dancing or dancing in my chair. His music just has that rhythm and sound that just sort of builds within you. It starts with a mild tapping of your toe and quickly envelops your entire body.

This four-polish, limited-edition collection has some great colors and finishes. Let's take a look.

Having Bruno's Babies is a sheer lavender tinted jelly base with pink, blue and chrome micro glitters. This polish has star quality sparkle and shine.  It dries with a a very slight texture, but if you want complete smoothness - just add a top coat. This is three coats and all of them have a top coat except for one photo, which is marked.

The sun kept hiding on me, so this polish is shown in artificial lighting.

These photos were taken under a small LED light. The color isn't showing as vibrant. But look at that sparkle!

Hooligans is a purple to violet to red to copper to green multi chrome with added silver shimmer. It has so many personalities that I decided to show you all of them that I could capture. The purple shift is varied - it's either a vibrant purple or a soft plum purple. Then there's the green - it also has a personality of its own. The copper shift likes to mingle with the other colors. This is two coats with a top coat.

The sun decided to shine so this is Hooligans basking in the sunlight.

See what I mean about the Purple? I think it's a Type A personality.

Mark Needs Love Too is a gunmetal gray intense linear holo with powerful chrome shimmer. I love this dusky shade of blue. It shifts to a deeper shade in the sunlight. It applied flawlessly. This is two coats with a top coat.

This is it in the late afternoon sunlight. The color is a bit dark, but I had to show you the strength of the holo.

Uptown Funk You Up is my favorite of the collection. The song it's inspired by makes me dance like no one is watching. This polish is a blued pink strong linear holographic polish. If you've seen the music video, you understand the inspiration. Application was a breeze. This is two coats with a top coat.

In the sun.
