Candy Crush Nail Art

Thursday, February 27, 2014

How many of you play Candy Crush? I know I do. Those levels can sure frustrate me, but the feeling when you finally beat one of those tough levels is pretty amazing!

I decided to create some Candy Crush inspired nail art. It didn't take as much time as one of those challenging levels. At least I didn't have a time limit!

I used Barielle "U Concrete Me" for the base coat. It's a stunning light gray that makes a perfect canvas for the candy pieces. I used acrylic paint, a dotting too and a nail art brush to create the candies.

What do you think? What game would you recreate?

Joss rocks holographic polishes

Wednesday, February 26, 2014

Hooray for holos! I have some gorgeous Joss holographic polishes to share with you today!

They are amazing and extremely holographic. The formula is wonderful. I only needed two coats for opacity. Springtime is just around the corner. Well, maybe not here in Wyoming but it is somewhere! And I love holo polishes in the sunlight. They should probably put a warning on the bottle that reads "May be distracting. Use caution when operating a vehicle."

These polishes are available on Color4Nails. I was excited when she sent them to me for me to share with you - so let's take a look!

Caribbean Holiday is a stunning aqua shade. Some people think it's green and some think it's blue. Either way, it's completely breathtaking! This is two coats with no top coat.

This photo may look a little dark. But I wanted to show it to you so you can see the holo in normal household lighting.

Color Club Safari Club swatches, nail art

Monday, February 24, 2014

I have the fun new Color Club Safari Garden Collection to share with you today.

Color Club polishes have long been a favorite of mine. The colors in this collection are no exception. The formula is wonderful. Most only took two coats and they dried to a high gloss shine. I even created a couple of nail art looks with them.

Let's take a look!

Nail Robi is a gorgeous deep navy blue cream polish. This is two coats. I am not wearing the top coat and look at that shine! It's a very classy color.

Safari Sunset is a peachy nude shade with a subtle shimmer. This is two coats.

Tribe and True is a deep murky fern green shade. I really like this shade. It is different than most greens out there. This is two coats.

Swooshes and dots are something I do a lot. It's a random, abstract look. I like how this one looks like wet paint. I used Look Don't Tusk for the base color and Nail Robi, Lion's Den and In De-Nile for the accent colors.

Another look I created to represent leopard spots. I used Tribe and True for the base color and Nail Robi and Lions Den for the leopard spots.

In De-Nile is a wonderful pale blue cream polish. It is a perfect soft sky blue with a high gloss shine. This is two coats.

Lion's Den is a gorgeous shimmery gold shade. The shimmer of gold is strong and is stunning. This is three coats. It could be worn by itself, but I applied it over Look Don't Tusk because white brightens gold polish to the point that it looks like real gold.

Look, Don't Tusk is an amazing soft white shade. I love white polishes... especially as a base for nail art. This is three coats.

This collection has something for everyone. The high gloss shine makes it extra gorgeous. You wouldn't have to wear a top coat unless you wanted to. Although I always wear a top coat.
