China Glaze Apocalypse of Colour Collection - swatches, nail art, review

Monday, October 6, 2014

China Glaze has released the Apocalypse of Colour Collection. A spooktacular six-piece collection to haunt and bewitch you.

Make sure to scroll to the bottom to see the Halloween nail art that glows in the dark.

Let's take a look at the horrifying hues in the Apocalypse of Colour collection:

·        Rest in Pieces is a festive fall glitter combination of copper, gold and black. The glitter glides on your nails easily and evenly. I have it on here over "I Love Your Guts" and a top coat to seal it off. I had no application issues with this glitter topper.

·         Getting to Gnaw You is a dark black polish with hints of gold microglitter. I love the way this looks. It is sure to be perfect for the entire fall and winter season. This is two coats with a top coat. I had no application issues with this polish.

·         I Love Your Guts is a deep magenta toned pink polish with specks of black. This is easily a light texture polish if you want to wear it that way. I am going to show it to you with, and without, top coat.  It is a thirsty polish, so if you want it nice and smooth - make sure to wear a good top coat. This is two coats. I had no application issues with this polish.

·         Don’t Let the Dead Bite has a nude base that has lots of sporadic red glitter pieces to look like blood splatter across your finger tips. The nude base is rather sheer, so I applied it over "Don't Honk Your Thorn," which is a nude polish. This worked amazingly well together. I had no application issues with this polish.

·         But Of Corpse is a gruesome green with specks of black. Like "Don't Let the Dead Bite," it could easily be a texture. But I am showing it to you with a top coat applied. This is two coats. I had no issues with application.

·         Ghoulish Glow is a howling fun glow-in-the-dark top coat. Take a look below to see the nail art in the light, and in the dark. It applies easily and you can't see it when you add it to your nails. I am not the best at taking photos of glow in the dark polish. But you will get the picture.

  1. Getting to Gnaw You is my favorite but I really like the idea (and execution) of Don’t Let the Dead Bite. Love your nail art!
