Out of this world galaxy nail art

I have always loved the look of galaxy nail art. Although I had never personally attempted it... until now.

So I went on a hunt to find the colors I wanted. One thing I can say, it sure uses a lot of colors - but it is so worth it! Here are the polishes I used.

You don't have to use these exact polishes. I just want to show you the colors I used.

I started out with a black base color. Then I used tiny pieces of a cosmetic sponge to sponge on (in this order): the purple glitter polish, white, yellow, pink, green, blue and a holographic purple.

The sponging doesn't have to be exact. It fact, it's better if it isn't. Just make sure to dab your sponge on a piece of paper first so you don't have too much polish on the sponge.

I topped it off with a coat of holographic glitter - I used China Glaze Fairy Dust - and a top coat of Seche Vite.

I could do a tutorial, but I thought I would just show the tutorial I used. It's done by +ZombieKitty Nail Art and it's on Youtube

I am rather pleased with the galactic look of this mani. Have you tried this technique?

Some of these polishes were previously sent to me for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

  1. What Orly nail polish is that in the back right next to the green Orly? That looks like an amazing color on its own. These galaxy nails look fantastic too. I'm still a little to nervous to try these yet :( and my nails are thin and crappy thanks to my stress lately.

  2. Ohhh this is different from any galaxy nail art I've seen before! I especially like the inclusioon of the yellow and the blue. I;'ve done a single nail as a galaxy before for some sci fi nails it was fun and I'd really like to try a whole mani next!

I may not always have time to respond to your comments. But I read each and every one of them.
