Sally Hansen ColorFoil Nail Makeup polishes swatches and watermarble

Monday, June 9, 2014

I have some of the new Sally Hansen ColorFoil Nail Makeup chrome polishes to share with you today. Chromes usually don't like me very well. I don't buff my nails much and have horrible ridges and chrome polishes show every single flaw. But that's just me. Many of you buff your nails, or have gorgeous smooth nails so these will look amazing on you.

But if you don't have smooth nails and still like the amazing look of chrome polishes, these work amazingly well in water marble nail art. I tried them in a water marble over white nail polish. Oh my goodness - I was elated at the outcome.

The polishes spread wonderfully in the water. They do take a bit longer to dry, so you will have to leave each nail in the water a bit longer than normal. But if you like water marbles, make sure to try these polishes!

I did not use a base coat or top coat for these polishes. I tried to use a ridge filling base coat, but they didn't play nicely together. So you get to see my ridges. Make sure to let each coat dry fully before applying an additional coat.
Cobalt Chrome is a gorgeous shade of vibrant blue. The shine is phenomenal. This is two coats.

Minted Metal is a gorgeous shade of metal mint. It is a soft shade that leans toward blue. I think this is the polish that is most forgiving. This is two coats.

Purple Alloy is a dreamy purple shade. It has strong pink tendencies and the chrome effect is amazing. This is two coats.

These chrome polishes are gorgeous and are available for $7.99. The Sally Hansen® ColorFoil™ Nail Makeup collection is available at chain drug stores, food stores, and mass merchandisers nationwide.

These polishes were sent to me for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
