Floral and lattice nail art

Tuesday, April 8, 2014

I am sure you gals are tired of me saying "Spring is in the air." But I promise - one of these days it will really happen. We are wavering between sun and snow. Mother Nature can certainly be a tease. So I am living vicariously through my nail art.

Not much says Spring to me more than flowers and brand spanking new animals. But flowers are easier to create on my nails.

I found a design that I liked on Pinterest and tried to make it my own... to a point. I was inspired by the design from JaeMarie2008.

The colors worked; but I should have used a cream polish instead of a shimmer. But I still like the way it turned out.

Let's take a look.

I used Zoya Rebel as a base color. It is a stunning shimmery robin's egg blue. Then I used acrylic paints to create the lattice work, vines and flowers.

If you haven't used acrylic paints to create your nail art - well you should! It is inexpensive, the colors are endless, and if you make a mistake it is easy to wash off.

This Zoya polish was previously sent to me for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

  13. I have some acrylic paints, but I haven't opened them yet! I hear it's sooo much easier than using polish! I kinda like the flowers over the shimmer, actually - like a hazy effect! Beautiful!
