Seche - 2014 Spring Collection - Perfectly Poised

Wednesday, February 12, 2014

I have a gorgeous Spring Collection to share with you today - Seche! Did you know that Seche makes colors? The company is most widely known for Seche Vite - an amazing fast-dry top coat. But their colors are pretty amazing too!

"The Seche® woman can Conquer the World, one perfectly polished nail at a time. She is dressed Head to Toe in confidence as she steps out to take on the day. Buttoned Up in her best, this Effortlessly Styled woman is smart, sassy, ambitious and quick-witted. She is Perfectly Poised – always looking for the longest-lasting, fastest-drying seasonal shades that remind her to “Keep It You.” To stay true to who she is, she turns to Seche®." - Seche press release.

These polishes are perfect for Spring. Soft, but yet bold enough to be an attention-grabber. The last Seche polishes I reviewed were one-coaters. This collection is pastel so it varied in coats. But I will tell you what each polish required. The formula is wonderful - a high-gloss, fast dry polish that applies evenly.

Let's take a look. Each swatch is with a base coat of Seche Ridge Filler and a top coat of Seche Vite. Both the base coat and top coat are staples in my arsenal.

Keep It You: is a deep rose pink with subtle purple shimmer. The shimmer isn't over the top. It adds depth and dimension to the polish. This is 1 1/2 coats. That means one coat was basically sufficient, but there were some spots I needed to add extra coverage.

Head to Toe: is a creamy nude shade. Perfect for those days you want to be subtle and as a base coat for those nail art ideas. This is two coats.

Effortlessly Styled: is a stunning melon sherbet cream. I love this soft, classy color. This is also 1 1/2 coats.

Perfectly Poised: is a soft marigold cream. I normally don't wear yellow polish. But this one is gorgeous. It's not a true yellow, but a soft and muted goldenrod. I see me wearing this one a lot. This is two coats.

Conquer the World: is a light teal with subtle gold shimmer. I think this teal is my favorite in this collection. This is 1 1/2 coat.

Buttoned Up: is a lavender cream with subtle purple shimmer. Maybe this one is my favorite... I just can't decide. This is 1 1/2 coats

And of course I had to use them in some nail art - soft and subtle spring flowers.

  4. I can't decide between these colors, but I don't have anything like that teal shade. Hopefully I'll be one of the 5 winners of a whole collection at the end of the Dozen Days! I love the Spring flowers you've created with them.
