More floral nail art - Light flowers on a dark base

Thursday, January 9, 2014

This cold weather has made me pine for warm weather and sunshine. Subliminally this has made me create floral nail art. After all - if you paint it, it will come - right?

Well the theory sounds great. Although somehow I doubt the scientific validity of this concept.

Anyway, I digress.

I started off with a base color of OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest. This is a deep red shade with shimmer that comes from within. I love this shade.

Then using pink and white acrylic paints I painted flowers on the corners and a "stalky" flower coming from the side. This is super simple. I have said it before - flowers are extremely forgiving. They aren't perfect in nature so why should they be perfect on your nails?

I topped it off with a base coat of Seche Vite. It's simple, yet dramatic.

Are you tired of the deep freeze and longing for warmer weather?

These products were purchased by me. All opinions are my own. Please note that computer monitors may show colors differently.
