China Glaze Crinkled Chrome Collection swatches

I have the newest China Glaze collection to share with you - Crinkled Chromes.

"Featuring a new technology, China Glaze Crinkled Chrome lacquers apply like a regular polish, crinkling as it dries for an edgy, chrome-like finish.  The six new gorgeous pastels have the sophisticated, polished appeal of the season, but add a contemporary edge and sense of novelty to winter nails," China Glaze press release.

These polishes have a high-shine chrome finish and lots of texture. They applied easily and dried relatively quickly. I used two coats of polish for the swatches below. These polishes really do remind me of the texture of crinkled foil.
I'm a Chromantic - is a soft baby pink chrome. I like the color of this one. I tried a top coat on this one to see what it would do to the texture. If anything, the top coat brought the texture out more.

Wrinkling the Sheets - is a light powder green chrome. It seems to have a more linear "crinkle" effect.

Don't be Foiled - is a soft teal chrome textured polish. I really do like the color of these chromes.

Iron out Details - is an icy blue chrome.

Aluminate - is a cool silver. It reminds me of aluminum foil when it's been crinkled.

Crush, Crush Baby - is a soft, pale purple chrome polish.

Those of you who like high-texture polishes are going to love these. Texture really is a preference thing. I usually don't wear many texture polishes. What do you think? Is texture on it's way out? Or will it be around a while longer?

  4. Some of the best swatches of these I've seen yet! They are definitely interesting and kind of remind me of something I'd want to wear to Comic Con!

  5. Great swatches! I love the grumblings these have caused in the polish community. Even after swatching them, I am sort of torn, but I do really like the silver one! :)
