Girly Bits Fall 2013 Collection - inspired by Saturday Night Live

Saturday, September 21, 2013

And I am continuing with the Indie polishes. Today I have one of my favorite brands - Girly Bits!

The woman behind these polishes is Pam and she makes some unique and beautiful polishes. These are inspired by the television show "Saturday Night Live."

D!ck in the Box - was a music video that debuted on Saturday Night live on Dec. 16, 2006. This polish is mesmerizing. It is is a deep charcoal gray tightly scattered holo. The holo effect is gorgeous and reflects predominately warm golds, blues, greens, and even a few purple shades. This is my favorite of the collection. This is two coats with a top coat.

More Cowbell - is a skit about a fictional cowbell player, Gene Frenkle (played by Will Ferrell) who attempts to play the cowbell as the part of a band. This results in laughter and lots of comedic relief as the gyrations begin. This color is a steel blue gray tightly scattered holo with blue iridescent flakies. This is two coats with a top coat. The holo likes to hid from the camera but it is truly gorgeous!

Well, Isn't That Special - is a catch phrase used by The Church Lady. The Church Lady is an elderly woman named “Enid Strict,” has her own uppity radio talk show called "Church Chat." This polish is a medium purple tightly scattered holo with white flakies. It is a stunning polish that loves the sunlight and all sources of light - including diffused indoor lighting. The holo is hard to capture with a camera but trust me - It's there!

    1. Thanks Pam. I tried hard to capture the others but I think they are shy. At least with my camera. But they are all gorgeous!
