Shimmery floral nail art

I have returned to reality. My five day fun in the sun spree is over. Let me tell you though... five days of sun, sand, fishing, and general outdoor activities are rough on the nails! Although I didn't break one they did require a lot of pampering when I got back to "civilization."

After I tried to restore them I decided to create some nail art. I wanted something fun and bright so I used OPI Wing It. This is one of my all-time favorite polishes. It's shimmery, bright and perfect for a summer manicure.

I used acrylic paint to create the leaves and flowers. You may have noticed that my "go to" nail art is flowers. I am not normally a floral type of person - but I love them as nail art. They are also easy to create and forgiving when you make a mistake. Just a few swipes of the brush and you have instant flowers. Now if I could only get my garden to be as forgiving.

I topped it off with a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust for an added bit of sparkle.

What's your "go to" nail art?
