Score! A gorgeous set of Color Club at Ross

Friday, September 21, 2012

While perusing the aisles at my local Ross I was looking through their nail polish selection (Well of course I was...) I didn't notice anything new right away and started to walk away. I noticed a set of something interesting buried under other polishes in the back corner of the bottom shelf. Well, I quickly unearthed that set and discovered it was Color Club. I simply adore Color Club polishes so I put it in my cart (actually I think it flew into my cart.) And of course I had to look for a few extra sets for some friends and luckily there was just the right number of sets. But I digress...

This set of Color Club is positively stunning. My only complaint with the Color Clubs at Ross is that they don't have the names on them. But at $7.99 for a set of five colors and a top coat you simply can't go wrong.

I was going to research the colors but I was too excited to share them with you. So if you know what any of these colors are please share. I will update this post as I discover the names.

Let me get to the swatches. These are two coats unless I state otherwise. The formula is great and the colors are mesmerizing.

This is a gorgeous, shimmery shade of teal blue. And if you have read any of my posts you know that I positively gravitate toward blue shades.

This glitter is stunning. A gorgeous shade of blue. Yes, it's blue... This is three coats.

This deep, vibrant purple is amazing. Lots of shimmer in this one too.

This deep red shade of red is wonderful - Shimmery and beautiful.

Color Club Sexy Siren
Sexy Siren

This polish was hard to capture. It looks silver but has an icy blue hue to it - gorgeous!

Color Club Lumin-icent
Lumin-icent

This deep wine shade is has almost a jelly type consistency. This is three coats.

Now I am on a mission to find the names of these stunning polishes.

Happy polishing!

Kelly

  4. I agree it looks like a combo of several sets. A couple of them look like fall of 2011 colors. Now I want to go to Ross. It doesn't hurt that a Ross store JUST opened near me.

    1. My Ross had Essies, Color Club, Revlon, and a few other brands. Let me know what you score!

    2. I've seen those as well as Nicole by OPI for $2.99 and don't under estimate a brand called cosmetic arts, some of the colors stain upon removal but are great colors and glitters and $1.99! Lately I've been stalking my 3 local Rosses for polish and $10 Yankee candles, because who doesn't need something good smelling while painting their nail?

  11. If you have the numbers of the polishes, you can correspond them with the names on transdesign :)

    2. Sometimes they are not in the right bottles and that is why they are at Ross anyway. Just keep vigilant, sometimes when you think you found it, you'll see another color that fits even better. I've had to do this with 20 something color clubs. What I hate the most is the clear coats, I never know what it is. I got a fast dry top coat with my beyond the mistletoe glitters, sans holiday splendor plus art of seduction and I'm pretty sure the viva or super shine top coat with my neon set. I still have no idea what my 3rd one is that came in a strange mixed set with- ready to royal, ready to wear, snakeskin, take the stage, antiquated and brackish. Anyone know? Anyone? Lol.
